Summary: In conjunction with the Career Challenge, this photography advert seeks a qualified professional photographer who meets at minimum the specifications below.
Appropriate use: This advert must be shared only by a recommender with a 1:1 relationship with a qualified professional photographer of strong moral character in high repute (a person with an unblemished personal and professional record). This advert must not be re-posted or republished to any third-party site or job board (e.g. LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, CollegeJobs, etc.). Responders must disclose the recommender’s name with their application.
The Career Challenge committee members to pay a competitive and living wage to members of underrepresented and disenfranchised communities. Additionally, the Career Challenge members also grant preferred status to communities that have demonstrated a significant, verifiable, and tangible commitment to redress of injuries for those who have suffered violations or discrimination because of their race or female gender. Along these lines, our commitment and partnerships extend to leaders and stalwarts of moral character in communities that are Black, Brazilian, Columbian, and Italian. Thus, this job assignment is open to members of the specified communities.
The Career Challenge participants also agreed to create and enforce humane working conditions, and to hire workers who are skilled, possess great moral character, and who have been out of work or under-assigned due to racism, illegal discrimination, and other injustices (including, those who have been harmed because they allied themselves with persons unjustly discriminated against in the fight to end civil and human rights abuses).

I. Description:
Title: Photographer
Location: New York, New York City
Job Type: Assignment, Project, Non-employee
Job duties: See Below for output/results requirements
§ photograph 1 model using industry standard Commercial and Dramatic-Theatrical techniques (headshots)
§ Edit and format 10 images, print-ready (top agent and manager ready)
§ Film, edit, and format < 90 second personality slate
§ Photograph, edit, and format 2 *special photos of the model’s choosing (print-ready)
§ Film, edit, and format < 90 second *special personality slate of model’s choosing
§ Provide a copy of all photos and video content to the model at the end of the shoot
§ Ensure that the photo studio environment is clean, sanitized, and COVID free (including that non-essential staff should not be on location during the photoshoot) before the model arrives. *Note: The model may be accompanied by her security detail to the shoot
Equipment: Photographer’s equipment must be up-to-date, industry standard, functional equipment. Photographer must have his or her own professional studio, and must warrant that the studio is cleaned and properly ventilated.
Reports To: Theresa Giovanna
Compensation: Professional Pay (competitive) by electronic transfer (Zelle or PayPal). This will be a full buyout of all of the photographer’s rights in or to the images produced.
Misc. Project must be completed (i.e. edited and formatted images sent to model) no more than two full weeks (14 days) after the shoot.
(Any and All changes must be submitted in writing. Agreements must be agreed to and signed 48 hours in advance of the shoot date.)
II. Specification:
Education: No college degree required
Required: Valid government issued state i.d. card or valid passport
Training and Experience: Must possess an expert level of practical training and experience, such that you can readily identify and execute above average on the industry standard for Commercial and Dramatic-Theatrical Headshots and Personality Slate.
Must not be a person who produces/produced, promotes/promoted, or engages with smut material (to include material of any kind that is pornographic, racist, relates to OnlyFans, or glorifies or solicits violent or sexual acts.)
A person who has been accused of sexual or violent criminal acts at any point cannot apply.
Additional: Photographer must be skilled at lighting and photographing persons of color of and natural hair textures: no makeup will be worn during the photoshoot.
Editing should be natural (not overly photoshopped).
Character.
Must be legally and lawfully within the United States, and without legal blemish (must not be named as a defendant, subject, or target in any civil or criminal complaint, EXCEPT that such record exists only for the alleged wrongful act of peacefully protesting civil and human rights abuses, i.e. you were arrested and charged with protesting while engaging in a peaceful protest. This is distinct from being arrested for smashing windows and fire-bombing property during a protest).
Must not have been fired, resigned (in lieu of termination) or let go from any employment for an act of racism, violence, sexual misconduct, fraud, theft, or intellectual property abuses.
Must not have past or present history of supporting persons or causes that commit(ted) sexual misconduct, domestic violence, racism, or any felony act under U.S. law (i.e. if your spouse or relative committed domestic violence, a felony drug offense, or robbery, and you support(ed) that person, you would be in violation of this provision: ineligible to apply). If you share a home or business with such a person you are ineligible to apply.
Moral Character.
Must be a person of high moral character, which is a person of high (above average) personal and professional integrity. Cheating on a spouse, working in or supporting the pornographic industries, and using, promoting, or selling illegal drugs makes you ineligible for this opportunity.
If association with your name, likeness, work, or brand would be objectionable, or cause damage, embarrassment or shame to a person of high moral character and integrity then you would not be eligible for this assignment.
Professional Fitness.
Must be well organized, detail oriented, hygienic, sanitary, honest, knowledgeable, punctual, professional, discreet and kind.
Non-academic use of the “N” word (i.e. leisure use) would make you ineligible to apply.
COVID Health and Safety Provision.
Must test COVID negative 3 days in advance of shoot date, and must be a person who has abided by COVID guidelines at all times (i.e. if you left your local area during the COVID quarantine, in defiance of COVID restrictions, you have violated this provision, and are not eligible for this opportunity).
*The photographer, model, and security detail will wear protective masks at all time when possible during the shoot.
Data Security.
Must be able to shoot, edit, and format photographs (i.e. use of third-party services, such as a third-party editing service, are strictly prohibited). You should highlight specific data protection practices in your application (i.e. you must have data protection software, policies, and practices to prevent theft or misappropriation of intellectual property in your care).
Legal.
Must agree to and abide by a Confidentiality Agreement (indefinite), Non-Disclosure (indefinite) Agreement, Morality (‘Good Character’) Clause (5 year term), Intellectual Property Release (the model and her company will own all intellectual property and financial rights in the images, except that the Photographer may say that he or she produced the images when shown or used by the model, her agent, managers, companies, and assigns).
Special Notice.
A person intending to apply to this ad is hereby notified that the person to be photographed and filmed will suffer harm to her reputation, business, brand, and commitments by disreputable, immoral, and amoral persons and associations. Hence, the parties will agree in advance that liquidated damages in the event of a breach of contract are to be no less than $15,000.00 USD per individual violation, plus disgorgement of any profit or gain realized from the breach.
Schedule: This advert is posted Wednesday, November 4, 2020, and will expire on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:59pm. The photoshoot target dates are not specified as a safety precaution.
