Bella Caveat began as a dynamic entity with a focus on Millennial women of color. As women of color, and leaders, we are committed to the redress of all human rights and civil rights abuses. We recognize that for women of color to be treated as equal citizens in the United States, the prolific abuses and violations against black men in America must also be central to the work that we do. To this end, we are expanding our blue print of core services to include as a priority an active and robust response to the unjustified murder of black men in the United States.
As an entity, we are actively developing, configuring, and designing a sustainable entity that can be safety launched under the new and uncertain reality of COVID-19. We bear the weight that our individual and collective skills are needed now. And, when needed or asked, we have stepped away from our collective aim of launching this entity to aid efforts already underway.
We grieve with the families of the black men who were most recently murdered: your injury is our injury – and we are fighters, unrelenting in our pursuit of justice.
